Job Opportunities

Position Title: Campground Manager (part-time, year-round) (benefits eligible) 
Location: Lake Fairfax Park; 1400 Lake Fairfax Drive, Reston, VA. 20190 
Hours: This is a part-time year-round position working an average of 30 hours per week.  
Salary: $19 to $21 per hour. 
Overview: The Campground Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of the campground at Lake Fair-fax Park.

Duties:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the campground including reservations, check in, guest ser-vices, maintenance/custodial needs, camp host program, rules, regulations, and safety aspects of the campground.
  • Manages the volunteer camp host program including recruitment, screening, scheduling and supervision of the camp hosts.
  • Works with park maintenance staff, custodial contractors and camp hosts to ensure a clean and safe campground environment in the campground for family and group camping.  Performs the maintenance when required.
  • Oversees group camping reservations and experiences to include additional uses of park facilities, trails and amphitheater and services including scheduling of the Park Naturalist.

Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school degree. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.  Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Organized, responsible, and able to self-direct.  Experience working at campgrounds, with campground point of sale systems and supervising volunteers.

Note: *This position is scheduled to work a minimum 1,040 hours and no more than a maximum of 1,560 hours in a calendar year. This position is eligible to receive limited benefits, including: Medical/Vision/Dental Insurance Coverage, Flexible Spending Program, and Deferred Compensation.

Position Title: In-Line Hockey Rink Manager (part-time, year-round) (benefits eligible)
Location: Lake Fairfax Park, Reston Virginia 
Hours: This is a part-time year-round position working an average of 30 hours per week. 
Salary: $20 to $22 per hour. 
Overview: responsible for the day-to-day operations and program management of the new In-Line Hockey Rink at Lake Fairfax Park.

Duties: 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the In-Line Hockey Rink including supervision of the facility use.
  • Coordinates facilities usage and schedule of programs for the In-Line Hockey Rink and Skate Park with the FCPA Business Office and site program manager to ensure comprehensive offerings and smooth operations. Serves the site staff point of contact for the daily program offerings of the In-Line Hockey Rink and Skate Park.
  • Provides excellent customer service to In-Line Hockey Rink and Skate Park visitors.  Communicates and enforces Hockey Rink and Skate Park rules with program participants and facility users including addressing inappropriate use of facilities and behaviors. 
  • Oversees daily maintenance of the In-Line Hockey Rink.
